Marlowe & tHe MiX
About

Marlowe & tHe MiX aims to entertain today's kids in a safe, concert-like forum before they’re old enough to go to a grown-up pop show. Any of Marlowe’s infectious songs could be sung by a Top-40 artist of today like Rhianna or Carrie Underwood or Maroon 5. The twist is that Marlowe’s act targets the 3-10 year old audience who think going to a Wiggles show is “too baby-ish” but going to a Miley Cyrus concert is “too much information” for their parents.

Miley Cyrus sings about “school so lame” and the “7 Things (I hate about you)” to an ex-boyfriend. Marlowe weaves only positive, age appropriate messages throughout her pop songs, so that parents can enjoy the music along with their children without wincing from the content. The hidden bonus of Marlowe & tHe MiX is that kids feel like they're watching a cool, Billboard-worthy act - not a show solely designed for kids.

Today's music-savvy kids LOVE the flash and excitement of a Marlowe & tHe MiX show. Marlowe plays her glammed-up purple piano with her MTV-style band, called The MiX. The exciting treat is that for each song Marlowe invites a special musical guest into The MiX to play their unique instrument. Marlowe talks to the special guest to learn a little more about how they do all of the crazy cool things that they do on their instruments. The audience, which Marlowe calls her AllStars, have plenty of opportunity to dance and sing with their shiny MiX mics in hand.

Focus groups of parents with children aged 3-10 years old have stated that they are “musicless” when it comes to material to listen to with their children. Many of them, in desperation, flip through their own collections and find success with artists like James Taylor, The Beatles and Carole King or musicals.

Marlowe’s natural style mixes the soulfulness of yesterday’s great singer-songwriters with the hit-radio production values of today's biggest acts. No wonder sophisticated kids love to dance and sing to every word of a Marlowe & tHe Mix song!
